New event alert: Fredy Clue to talk about their non-binary folk outfit
FREDY CLUE TO TALK ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SWEDEN’S FIRST NON-BINARY FOLK DRESS
We’re delighted that Fredy Clue, who plays at Edinburgh Tradfest on Tuesday 2 May, will be taking part in a conversation about the development of Sweden’s first non-binary folk dress the day after their gig.
The event, arranged by The BIT Collective and Bogha-Frois, takes place at the Quaker Meeting House at 6pm on Wednesday 3 May.
Fredy will be kickstarting this event with a presentation about their well-known project Bäckadräkten –Sweden's first non-binary folk costume. Following this, there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the project, leading into an open discussion of queer voices in folk more broadly, hosted by one of ETF23’s programmers Pedro Cameron (Man of the Minch and founding member of Bogha-Frois).
Attendees are encouraged to bring their instruments and voices – as the event will be rounded off with some tunes and songs!
