Tonight in the Traverse Bar: Rae-Brown-Fält

Kicking off our TRAV LATES, is fresh new instrumental trio Rae-Brown-Fält to the Traverse Bar tonight (Saturday 29 April).

Rae-Brown-Fält is an Edinburgh-based powerhouse of flute, whistles, fiddle, låtmandola and cittern. With a heavy dose of vibe and groove they weave traditional Irish, Scottish, Breton and Scandinavian influences through their own compositions, and experiment with less conventional arrangements of traditional tunes. Meeting over ten years ago in Newcastle, Freya Rae, Luisa Brown and Marit Fält have been playing together ever since, developing their musical styles in relation to one another.

As you emerge from our Traverse 1 gig with Fara this evening, Rae-Brown-Fält will be in the bar ready to entertain, at about 10:30pm.

Don’t forget, if you are under 26 you can get tickets for Cathal McConnell & Allan Macdonald in Traverse 2 at 6:30pm and Fara in Traverse 1 at 8:15pm for just £8 each if you book in person at the theatre. Music in the bar is free.

TRAV LATES are in the Traverse Bar, 10 Cambridge Street, Edinburgh EH1 2ED
