Five years ago today

On this day, exactly five years ago, we released the above video. It was all we could do while we were confined to our houses, every theatre in the land was closed and musicians were separated from their bandmates.

It's not something we're going to forget in a hurry and so each time we put on a concert, it's a joy to see people getting together, all connected by a shared love of live music.

Tomorrow we'll open our fifth 'in person' Edinburgh Tradfest since we took it over in 2019, and we'll be there to welcome you at all of our gigs over the 11 days.

The festival kicks off at the Queen's Hall tomorrow (2 May) with the sumptuous sounds of Ross Ainslie and the Sanctuary Band, ably supported by rising star Terra Kin and their super special string quartet.

We then move to the Traverse where we'll be in residence for ten days enjoying some legends of Scottish traditional music, up and coming performers, and top flight visitors from England and overseas.

To be reminded how things were in 2020 check out the special excerpt from our 2021 podcast below. And to view the festival’s entire schedule follow this link >>
