Laura Jane Wilkie and Ian Carr are two leading figures in today’s contemporary traditional music world. Their performances centre around Laura’s debut album Vent released on Hudson Records; a deep, immaculately researched dive into ancient women’s work songs (also known as ‘Waulking’ songs) from the Outer Hebrides.
