FIDDLE WORKSHOP WITH LAURA JANE WILKIE

We are delighted to welcome Laura Jane Wilkie for a special fiddle workshop.

A leading voice in Scottish traditional music, Laura is known for her expressive tone, rhythmic drive, and deep connection to tradition.

In this workshop, she will share tunes from the Scottish repertoire while taking a deep dive into stylistic interpretation, bowing patterns, ornamentation, phrasing, and groove. Participants will also gain insight into ensemble playing and developing a personal voice within the tradition.

Suitable for intermediate to advanced players 14 years and up (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult - no charge for adults unless also taking part in the workshop).

Please bring a recording device if you wish to capture material for practice.
